About two months ago, Facebook changed the game (again) for PPC (pay-per-click) advertising by introducing their own in-house Facebook Retargeting. Last year, Twitter introduced Twitter Ads. On top of testing ROI and determining best practices with regards to all of the changes being made by social media network giants, is Digital Marketer.

In this episode of the Smart Time Online podcast, I sit down with Molly Pittman, the brilliant Social Media Marketing manager for Digital Marketer, and pick her brain about what she’s been up to with testing the latest social media marketing strategies and the results generated.

  • Share some of your best content for free. This cuts through the over-infested and saturated content that exists everywhere, and can position you as an authority in your market by earning your audience’s trust and building rapport.
  • Create a Standard Operating Procedure for your business if you haven’t already done so. Start with something that is currently making you money and can be scaled. If you are NOT making money yet, then create a Standard Operating Procedure that will outline how to create something that CAN make you money. Make changes as they are needed.
  • I’ve said this countless times, but, really – if you do business online, DO FACEBOOK ADS. Specifically, start doing Facebook Retargteing and tie it into a piece of highly valuable content with a specific call-to-action at the end that captures leads into your funnel system.
  • Consider Twitter Ads… but if your budget is low, invest in Facebook Ads first.
